Return to Activities

Scouting for Food, a community effort, is a Spirit of Scouting event and takes only a few hours on the two sequential Saturday mornings in November. Our Pack goal is for every Scout to attend at least one of the two Saturday mornings and help out. Only 5% of the BSA districts in the United States continue to collect food for the local shelters and Goose Creek District is proudly one of them.

Scouts will distribute bags on the first Saturday, and collect food on the second Saturday. Each group of Scouts will be assigned a route of houses in our local neighborhood. This is one of our primary Community Service projects each year.
